Touristic Aquaponics in the heart of South America

Let´s build a Aquaponics to promote food safety and tourism

Touristic Aquaponics in the heart of South America

The global Problem

Our planet is facing food shortages and hunger. This problem is exacerbated due to the growing population, soil degradation and the reduction in agricultural land. In addition, there are natural disasters in the form of dry seasons, floods, cold and heat waves, which affect or render unusable enormous agricultural areas every year and endanger people’s food safety.

At the forefront of the most important industries of the future will be the companies that produce food! And not just any, but healthy, nutrient-rich and ecological food based on organic farming. The need is to produce a lot of food of this type, in a very small space and in a controlled environment that is immune to inclement weather.

Our Solution

The solution is to cultivate an enormous amount of diverse high quality food in minimal and controlled space. This is possible thanks to modern aquaponics! This is a process that belongs to the rearing of fish in aquaculture and the cultivation of useful plants using hydroponics! In an aquaponics system, the combination of a closed circuit system for fish production and a hydroponics system for plant breeding, for example for various types of vegetables and herbs, is often asked. The system works with excrement from fish farming to be used as nutrients for plants. This works automated via pump systems. The contribution of nutrients necessary for the cultivation of plants occurs thanks to the fish food, which is produced in an ecological way, together with it.

In aquaponics we will breed different fish. Especially cichlids as tilapia as particularly fast-growing and not very demanding food fish. Means that we also breed brown trout, rainbow trout, perch and/or pike. We can breed around 2,200 fish a month!

In the area of the hydroponic system, we will cultivate various types of useful plants. Above all herbs and vegetables such as salads, tomatoes, peppers, watercress, cucumbers etc. But also potatoes, onions and strawberries etc. Depending on the type of plant, there can be between 3 and 12 harvests per year and depending on the type of plant, between 6 and 55 tons per year!

Our advantages comes from our location

Our unique project is located in a small natural paradise in the heart of South America, in a hilly region called the Switzerland of Bolivia. We enjoy an ideal and balanced climate in an area that is foreigner-friendly and touristy, as the Inca ruins of El Fuerte, the route of Che Guevara, and the wonderful Amboro National Park are located here. Here we are building an ecotouristic refuge for people who would like to live self-sufficient and independently on the countryside, with fresh water, self-sufficient energy and, above all, own agriculture, cattle breeding and own fruit trees. Our remote strategic high plateau is surrounded by majestic mountain backdrops and sloping cliffs that offer natural protection! Thanks to our so-called silver plates, we have launched an internal means of payment based on precious metal (silver), which is another tourist highlight and at the same time represents a financial crisis protection!

Essentials

With the support of 500,000 Euro, we will build a big aquaponics facility, which will be very important in the region. We will not only make an important contribution to the food independence of the City of Santa Cruz, but we will also create jobs, promote ecotourism and be a social aid for many people!
Framework data of the facility:

  • 10 halls for vegetable production – 400 square meters each
  • 5 halls for blueberry production (4,000 plants) – 1,200 square meters each
  • 2 fish farming halls (12 tanks) – each 400 square meters
  • Complete plant size: 10,800 square meters

FAQ

With whose advice will you put together this project and where will you get the seedlings, and the optimal seeds?
We will put together this project with the Bolivian company Hydrosystem, specialized in the assembly and installation of Aquaponics and Hydroponics systems, and under the control and advice of René Cabezas, the number one expert in hydroponics in Bolivia. In order to obtain the most optimal and certified seedlings and seeds, we will work under an agreement with the National Institute of Agricultural and Forestry Innovation (INIAF).
